Privacy Rights Request Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
Effective date: June 29, 2026
This Policy explains how to submit privacy rights requests to KomiU. Your rights depend on where you live and applicable law.
1. How to submit a request
- In the App: use the privacy request feature.
- By email: contact [email protected].
- If your request relates to safety, harassment, fraud, or immediate user protection, you may also use in-app report tools or contact [email protected].
2. Requests we support
| Request type | What it means |
|---|---|
| Access / know | Ask for information about the categories or specific pieces of personal information we process about you, subject to verification and safety limits. |
| Correction | Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information. Many profile fields can be edited directly in the App. |
| Deletion | Ask us to delete personal information, subject to retention exceptions. Account deletion is available separately in the App. |
| Portability / export | Ask for a copy of certain information in a portable format where required by law and technically feasible. |
| Withdraw consent | Withdraw certain consent where processing is based on consent. This may limit or disable related features. |
| Object or restrict | Object to or request restriction of certain processing where applicable law provides that right. |
| Opt out of sale/share | For California and similar laws, opt out of sale or sharing. In the current service, we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. |
| Limit sensitive information use | Ask us to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable law provides that right. In the current service, we use sensitive personal information for disclosed service, safety, security, legal, and user-requested purposes, not for unrelated advertising. |
| Appeal | Appeal our decision on a privacy request where applicable law provides an appeal right. |
3. Identity verification
We must verify your identity before responding to many requests. If you are logged in, we may treat the logged-in session as verification for some requests. For email requests, we may ask you to verify account email ownership or provide information needed to locate your account. Do not send unnecessary identity documents unless we specifically request them.
4. Authorized agents
If an authorized agent submits a request for you, we may require proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly, unless applicable law requires a different process.
5. Response timing
We aim to respond within the time required by applicable law. Some requests may take longer if they are complex, involve safety review, require identity verification, or need us to search multiple systems. We will communicate with you if an extension is needed.
6. Limits and exceptions
We may deny or limit a request where allowed by law, including when necessary to protect another user's privacy, preserve safety evidence, prevent fraud, complete transactions, comply with law, protect security, maintain accounting or audit records, or exercise legal rights.
7. Regional notes
California residents may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit use of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in the current service, a sale/share opt-out request will be recorded as not applicable unless our practices change. Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand users may have rights to access and correct personal information and to complain about our handling of personal information. European Union and United Kingdom rights will be addressed before we intentionally launch in those markets.
